Owens Corning Trumbull Asphalt is a technically sound, quality conscious and progressive producer of asphalt materials for use in many different market segments, including asphalt paving and pavement preservation.
Located on the Chicago Ship Canal in Summit IL, our facility is able to receive various asphalts via barge, rail and truck from refineries all over North America. Asphalt blending, asphalt modification, and asphalt storage/distribution are the cornerstones of this facilities success.
In addition to physical assets, Owens Corning has developed deep technical knowledge of asphaltic materials in our 75+ years in business. Our Summit IL facility has an on-site AMRL certified laboratory and adjacent R&D facilities. These facilities are capable of formulating and testing all varieties of asphalt binder for both internal requirements and external customers.
