FAST Act Passes the House and Senate

The House and Senate passed H.R. 22, the Fixing  America's Surface Transportation (FAST) Act of 2015 to authorize funds for Federal-aid highways and highway safety programs. The House overwhelmingly passed the five-year, $305 billion legislation — $281 billion allocated to highway and road projects — in a vote of 359-65, with the Senate subsequently taking up and passing the measure in a vote of 83-16. With the Highway Trust Fund set to expire today, we expect the White House to hold a signing ceremony to commemorate this momentous congressional achievement.
