Impact of Alternative Asphalt Binder Extenders on Asphalt Mixture Design, Production and Performance

As part of a Pavement Economics Committee-funded project, Dr. Adam Hand at the University of Nevada, Reno is surveying the industry on the impact of alternative asphalt binders and extenders on asphalt mixture design, production, and performance. The project looks at the current use and state of play for biobinders, re-refined oils, and other alternative binders and extenders not produced from the distillation of petroleum/crude oil. Participation in this six-minute web-based survey will help in developing the data about how and where these products are and are not being used.
